Being part of a good school community is great, but do you know what else is? Being part of a club!

Grenville is home to different clubs that give students access to exciting and new ways to learn and strengthen their skills and talents. Being part of these clubs is very important for many reasons. Apart from providing a way to unwind from academic activities, clubs equip you with useful skills and knowledge, improve your social interaction and allow you to make new friends.

The clubs available to students at Grenville include: drama club, music club, debate/quiz/press club, ballet club, Taekwondo club, basketball club, cookery cub, coding club, abacus club, Jet/science club, and the LAMDA club (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts).

While club activities are available to both primary and secondary students, primary students have their club meetings every Wednesday, and secondary students have theirs every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm for all students.

Now…it’s time for some music 🎶

Grenville’s music club is the perfect community for all students who have a flair for music or want to learn how to play an instrument. Whether it’s a violin or a flute and a guitar or the drums, the music club is the place to be.

Mr Raphael Francis, the music club coordinator, describes the music club as “a melting pot of talented kids who come in with different entry levels of practical experience.” Just like with every other club, students in the music club are paid close attention to, with experienced instructors leading them every step of the way in their respective musical journeys.

This term, the music club has plans to keep us entertained and wowed with their exciting displays. According to Mr. Raphael, the students will be involved in activities and presentations for National day, the upcoming Science Week and of course, the Christmas Show.

Moreover, the primary school students will showcase their musical talent with the various talent assemblies in the primary school.

If you needed a sign to pay attention to or become part of the music club, this is it!

With solo performances and musical ensembles, the music club promises to make this term one to remember for all, so be on the lookout and keep your ears peeled for some great music!
